New2Toronto | Oakville Branch
Started by a group of students from BC and Alberta at the University of Toronto in 2018, N2T is a student ran support group found in many campuses around the GTA. We offer a safe and judgement free environment for anyone to come in and ask any question about life in the area or ask for help on anything, no matter how minor or “basic” it is.
Our team of mentors are people from various backgrounds with personal experience with the move to Toronto, and they’re happy to help! Our Sheridan Trafalgar Campus office is in room 2XXX in the Y wing. We’re open every Tuesday and Thursday for anyone to drop by and say hi, or to ask for any help whatsoever!
N2T is primarily made up of peer mentors, students with previous on-hand knowledge and experience of how tough and often confusing the adjustment to Toronto life was like. Our mentors are happy to help if you just popped by! N2T also has open meetings in the library learning commons three times in September to help any new students with their new student life in the GTA. You can find where we are during these open meetings from our mentor’s red shirts with the N2T logo on them. We also partner with local foreign student groups to provide information to counselling and legal assistance services for foreign students. Any more questions? Wanna become a mentor yourself?
