Next steps for the int'l kids

"By the way, welcome to Canada!"

Being an international student can add more stresses and uncertainties on top of the already stressful transition to college. To help alleviate some of this pressure, N2T made a list of things you should do to make the whole process a lot easier

  1. Double check your documents real quick
  2. Check to ensure that your passport and study permit do not expire within the academic year (ergo, before April).

Sounds incredibly simple, but it’s always good to double check!

  1. Get your letters from the school
  2. Download a digital copy of your Letter of Acceptance and Letter of Enrollment, as you will need it once the time to renew your study permit comes

  1. Check your GuardMe status
  2. Check your guardme status. Guardme is part of a health insurance scheme given to all students by default. If you happen to have your own health insurance, go through the steps to opt out of it on the guardme website.

Now that you got all your papers in order, what next? Well, you could come to one of our meetings! More info about that on our about page!
